YouTube Autoplay in Slider

   Hello,

   How can we have a YouTube video Autoplay in the home page slider? Not with code but just as part - and together with -other video's and images in the slider.

   Hello wimtemmerman,

   Try adding &autoplay=1 to the end of your URL so it looks something like this,

   http://www.youtube.com/v/s3iyA736384&autoplay=1

   Your using 2.0 wimtemmerman? Let's try this,

   In the slide settings remove your Image/Video URL and in the description field paste this,

   [youtube url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxs970FMYIo" width="600"
   height="300" autohide="0" autoplay="1" controls="0" disablekb="1" fs="1"
   hd="1" loop="1" rel="0" showsearch="0" showinfo="0"]

   You'll want to play around with the width / height but it should have autoplay enabled.

   Hello Elliot,

   No I am still using 1.3. Am very afraid that 2.0 will mess up some of the CSS I changed.
   If not, I will upgrade and try.

   For 1.3 try this,

   Open up /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/classes/video.php and on line 32 try switching it like this,

   'autoplay' => 1,

   No succes yet.

   Where can I find the differences between Awake version 1.3 and 2 ?
   Will upgrading impact all the changes I made to the different CSS and php files?

   Hmm, well thats working on my end wimtemmerman. Try clearing your browser cache and refresh any caching related plugins you might have installed.

   The code between 1.3 - 2.0 is completely different so there is not any changelog.

   If you are wanting to update you will need to redo all cusotmizations. We have added certain features to help with the customization though, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Customization.

    btw...changing the video.php worked....but then ALL video's in the slider start to play at the same time

    You will need to redo all customizations, php, css, etc etc. See here for help with customizations,

    Elliot,

    1. Can I install Awake 2.0 as a separate NEW theme? (so NOT as an update for 1.3)
    2. I have tried to make the video autoplay but as said, BOTH videos start to play at the same time.
    3. For the new themes: I had to make a separate account for all 4 different themes (with 4 different passwords and 4 different e-mail addresses.
    Is there any way I can get 1 account with all themes in there so I can decide which one works best with me?

    Hello wimtemmerman,

    1. Yes, just upload into the theme folder of a new Wordpress installation.
    2. If possible then send us a link to your site so we can see how it is working.
    3. Are you referring to the trial server? Once you make an account you can switch between the themes to try them out.

    1. OK. So I would need to have a new domain + a new Wordpress install to test the theme; copy all my pages over and then migrate and move everything back?

    3. Yes, the trial server. No, cause I made an account and when I went for a second theme, it again asked me my account. I filled it out and got a message that this account was already in use.
    so now I have thinksocialbe / thinksocialbe1 / thinksocialbe2 all with different passowrds and different e-mail addresses.

    On top of that I also get the wrong themes in there...

    Well if you want to use it with your existing Wordpress installation then you would just need to rename the theme folder before uploading so it does not conflict with Awake 1.3.

    As for the trial server when you register all of the themes should be available so you just need to switch between them in Dashboard -> Appearance -> Themes. You don't see them on your end?
