WPML translation for the content on the slideshow

  1. Regarding multilingual sites and WPML. I'm creating a website that uses the slider and require that in three languages.
I read in the Infocus theme blog that you've responded to a similar question with the following answer:
"The theme actually doesn’t include support for the WPML shortcode by default. If you contact us through our profile page here we’ll send you the files you’ll need to replace on your server to enable the WPML shortcode"

So could you guys post these files here in the Forum?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Daniel Beck,

Replace the following files on your server with the ones in the "wpml.zip" file attached to this post.

    wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/functions/shortcode.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/includes/featured-custom.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/includes/template-blog.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/includes/template-portfolio-full.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/includes/template-portfolio-gallery.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/includes/template-portfolio-single.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/includes/template-single.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/page.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/template-full.php
    wp-content/themes/infocus/template-sitemap.php

You should now be able to use the following shortcode in the 'Title' text box option field & the 'Description' text box option field to control the translation text that shows up:

    [wpml_translate lang=de]Hallo Welt![/wpml_translate]

    [wpml_translate lang=en]Hello World![/wpml_translate]

Note that this will only work with the 'Homepage Image Slider Source' option set to "I Would Like to Custom Define the Images and URLs that the Homepage Slider use."

Just for the other people too: you can use the shortcuts in title or teaser text fields if you put it all in one line but with a blank " " between two shortcuts:
    [wpml_translate lang=de]Hallo Welt![/wpml_translate] [wpml_translate lang=en]Hello World![/wpml_translate]

    Hi calutateo,

As I mentioned in the other topic too, no, this won't work for the Awake theme.

    Hello comaggi,

See here for using WPML, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Using_WPML.

It won't matter which theme of ours your using as long as it's the latest version.
