I switched out the header.php functions.php and theme-functions.php files out that were listed at the beginning of this thread and now my theme doesn't work at all. I only see my header on the homepage, no content, menus, etc.

    Any ideas?

    Hello triker,

Let us know which theme and version you are using.

This fix is only for inFocus before verison 2.0. If your using inFocus 2.0 then navigate to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus to get started.

    Sorry,

I'm using inFocus version 1.6. What's the easiest way to upgrade the whole theme?

  6. I read through this thread (http://mysitemyway.com/support/topic/wordpress-v3-menus) which references a zip file to fix issues about a custom menu not showing.

Were the fixes in the Zip file addressed in a theme update (we presently use InFocus v 2.8)?

    Files dates are 2-8-12 for

    functions.php
    header.php

There is no file called: theme-functions.php, although it is in the patch file in the forum.

The basic issue is that is this:

I have created a custom menu. There are three menu position choices: primary, header links, and footer. The client wants to replace the regular menu associated with pages, and use custom menus instead. (Basically the page with the title 'Frequently Asked Questions' will NOT fit in the menu. So, we hope to use FAQ as the navigational title in the menu bar, and keep the spelled-out name as the page title.

I've attached a screen shot to show what I see in the admin.

  7. Never mind...user error!

It seems that custom menu "names" do not appear on the page. So. naming the menu "main", then adding you page/post items to this, is the way to work it.

As long as your using the latest version of our themes you do not need to worry about the menus.
