WooCommerce Support

  1. I know this topic has been brought up before, but as a web developer on the WooCommerce platform, I would really like to see the MySiteMyWay themes integrate better with WooCommerce. I much prefer that platform over Jigoshop and I have invested money in many of their plugins. I really like the MySiteMyWay themes but it's always a holdup knowing that they don't integrate well with WooCommerce. With many of the improvements that have come in recent versions of WooCommerce I don't think that a basic integration would be very difficult. Is this something you would consider implementing in your themes?

Do you guys have any news on this?

I assume the lack of reply from MySiteMyWay team means that they haven't worked on a Woocommerce intergration yet.

  4. I have been frustrated about the Woocommerce integration issue. I was just preparing to purchase a Woocommerce theme and forgo MySiteMyWay altogether (I was not impressed with jigoshop - the features do not meet my needs); but I think I may have found a plugin that may solve the problem. The name of the program is jonradio Multiple Themes. Here is the link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jonradio-multiple-themes/.

Basically, it allows you to select different themes for one or more WP Pages, Posts, Home, etc. What I did was selected the Construct Theme (from a drop down menu when you activate the plugin) for my Homepage and I downloaded and selected a free Woocommerce (WC) theme for the pages that are affiliated with WCshop, i.e. shop, cart, my account, etc. (I did not come across a premium WC theme that I liked).

I have not made my site live yet as I just came across this today, but so far I've not had any of the compatibility problems when I used Construct. Previously, I had trouble viewing the products and the cart was misaligned. Now that I have selected the free WC theme for the shop, everything is fine. The only complication I've run across is the time to set up the new WC theme. But at least I do not lose all the customization I created using the Construct theme.

Note: I am not proficient in Wordpress at all and I found the plugin to be fairly simple and there is a lot of documentation available. In reviewing the support forum, the plugin author seems to be pretty responsive.

Just wanted to share. Hope it helps you as it's helping me. When my site is completed, I will send a link.

    Cheers!

  5. I wanted to follow-up on the multiple themes plugin mentioned in my previous comment. Here is my site using the multiple themes plugin: http://howtolookgreateveryday.com. The main theme is Construct (home page, contact page, blog, etc.) and the secondary theme is a woocommerce theme that I'm using for the fine jewelry boutique (http://howtolookgreateveryday.com/fine-jewelry/. I still have some revisions to make; but so far, I have not had any problems. Hope this helps those of you who love Mysitemyway themes but need to use woocommerce.
