   I have removed the widgets that were in the first,second,third,fourth,fifth,sixth footer widget area and they have disappeared. Is there any way of getting them back as I want to use them I just wanted to change things about a bit.

   Also on my home page I am still getting a white area in custom text area. Is there any way of getting rid of this entirely so it matches the skin colour.

   Hello jimmysfarm,

   Your wanting to get rid of the homepage content area? Try adding this in Dashboard -> your theme -> General Settings -> Custom CSS,

   .is_home #content { display: none; }

   As for the widgets you just need to add them back in Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets.

   Thanks for the reply. My site and dashboard seem to be running extremely slow tonight and taking ages to update and save. Is this likely to be because of any changes I have made.

   It could be from a lot of things. Try deactivating your plugins and check with your hosting provider to see if everything is okay.
