    Good day,

    I have produced a video in .flv format and uploaded it into my media directory. I have modified the sizes according to your site documentation. It's a self hosted video. However, it's not showing up in the slider which is set to Type=Fading Slider and stage effect=Full.

    Any ideas as to why the video is not displaying?

    thanks

    Hello layers,

    The slider only supports youtube and vimeo. If you need to display flash then you may be able to get it working by using the Full + Raw HTML stage and a plugin such as JW player, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/.

    Can anyone help a newbee with the setup code for this?

    Hello stevemoran,

    From what I understand with the JWPlayer it offers shortcodes to display your video like so,

    [jwplayer config="<Player name>" file="<your video>"]

    You could place that in the slide description of a "Full + Raw HTML" staged slide to get it to display. The slide will still require an image though so you can upload a 1x1 transparent image so it does not actually display.

    Thanks for that - I could get it to work by putting in the full script code but it just sits to the left. It looks like this is going to be a bit tricky for my lack of coding skills as I wanted it to look exactly like the others that are "staged right" with description and "read more" button. Maybe i will have to bite the bullet and get a vimeo business account.
    thanks for your help anyway.

    You can position it by surrounding the shortcode with a div like so,

    <div style = 'position: absolute; top: 20px; left: 20px;'>
    insert your shortcode here
    </div>

    And then play around with the top and left values.
