Video does not work on the homepage slider

   I've tried every combination I can think of. I've tried Youtube and Vimeo videos. All I do is enter the URL of the video, correct? Or is it the embed code?

   Here are the videos I'm trying to use just as a test.

   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6WOoUG1eNo

   Here are my Slider settings:

   Fading Slider
   Autorotation on

   Video URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66TuSJo4dZM
   Stage Effect = Partial Gradient
   Disable "Read More" Button - Checked

   The website where I want them to display is at: http://fmafilms.com/main/

   I've tried viewing in Firefox and Chrome.

   They just won't load at all and I'm really stuck.

   Any ideas or advice?

   Hello thinkaholic,

   When you want to add a video then you would need to copy the full URL of the video which you seem to be doing right.

   In some cases the video might take a few seconds to load.

   Finally got it working. Here is what I did.

   - Deleted the files in the cache folder. (Not sure if this helped)
   - Added a static image to the slider list. (I think doing this fixed it)

   Videos added to the slider (tabbed or fading) won't load without the static image for some reason. As soon as I remove the static image, the videos won't load.

   Hi Elliott

   I'm having the same problem with my Awake theme. The only thing is I don't want to have a static image showing, just the video. I've seen a lot of posts in regards to InFocus and the use of something called prettyPhoto seems to sort it(whatever it is) but does that also work for the Awake?

   I have been using the full url and pasting in into the correct field. I have deactivated all plugins and nothing has changed. The only thing i notice is that if i have a few other slides with images then it'll work. Otherwise it shows the radial loading clock

   I'm after a partial stage left with text at the side and the "Read More" button. (which i'd like to change to "Get Started" if you can help with that also)

   I had used the following custom codes if this helps.

   #slider_module + #intro h3 { text-align: center; }

   #slider_module_inner .partial_staged_slideL .slide_content {
   color: #C0C0C0;
   font-weight: bold;
   line-height: 30px;
   }

   Oh, and at present i have disabled Automatic Slider Transitions and Pause On Hover.

   If you can help me get this sort I'd be very grateful.

   Here's something I ran into. I kept getting a message the the URL was not correct. I found a fix for this. I opened up the share/embed options on YouTube and made sure to pick the long url, BUT to make it work I had to add the HD extension ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YWAqocWzFA&hd=1 ) take notice of the &hd=1 without this it would not work.
