VERY SLOW LOAD

    I have just started a new blog for a tech client. I purchased this theme (awake) and one other for another client I am working for. Unfortunately, I am having issues with Awake. If I activate awake as a them, the site will take about 4 minutes to load. With another theme activated it loads in seconds. This has nothing to do with images, etc, as I do not have any content loaded to the site yet. This is simply the theme itself.

    What should I check, because I am certain if it was this slow for everyone, that no one would be purchasing the theme, so I know it is an issue on my end.

    Hello kkniskern,

    Make sure that your web host has the latest version of PHP installed. If possible then send us a link to your site so we can take a closer look.

    Are you getting any php errors? Try turning on Wordpress debugging and view your error logs to see if any information has come up. These types of problems usually have something to do with the server so try getting in contact with your hosting provider to see what they say.
