v2.3 / WP3.3b4 BUG: Custom Homepage Text doesn't save

   For what ever reason the pasted text into the custom homepage text is not getting saved. Any idea?

   PS: It is possible that this is related to WP 3.3 beta 4 that I am using,. as the click on the "Visual" tab is also non-functional. Please investigate, as 3.3 will be live soon.

   Hello helmar,

   Yes it could very well be because your using a beta. Does it happen on the stable release also?

   Go ahead and revert back to the latest stable version of Wordpress. If the problem persists when 3.3 is released then we'll get a fix going.

   Hi Elliott,

   you are using the visual editor for that field, and the visual editor has changed a bit in 3.3. The editing icons for instance don't show up at all, and again, the click on Visual or HTML doesn't change anything. Please check what you are doing there or what they have changed in the editor.

   3.3 now being officially released, the problem persists. Home page content is not being saved. Pls check, dear Elliott.

   Temporary solution:
   Create a normal page with all styles as usual. The shortcode function allows you to create exactly the site as your home page content theme in the setting "Home Page content".
