Using the Standard WordPress [gallery] Shortcode

   I need captions under my thumbnail images, [fancy_images] doesn't provide this functionality without also using columns, so I'd like to use the standard WordPress [gallery] shortcode instead. Within page edit mode, when I click on the "Add an Image" icon, the Gallery option does not appear (just "From Computer, From URL, and Media Library"). Please let me know how to access this feature, and if I need to do anything to turn off [fancy_images].

   As a follow up, just to make sure, might there now be a way to add titles to [fancy-image] thumbnails? A hack to the functions.php file, perhaps?

   And if not, might there be a way to pass a title to be displayed in the light box?

   In case it's useful to provide some context, here's one of the pages with which I'm working:

   The thumbnails that have titles are using the hack of combining your column shortcodes, but it's a kluge because the images in a given thumbnail section aren't accessible with the next and previous links in the light box.

   What I need, with [fancy_images] or a third-party plugin, is to simply have titles associated with my thumbnails. I don't need descriptions. This is a wedding coordination site and their clients need to know the names of the flowers so they can order them.

   See here, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Fancy_Images, you'll need to add alt and title text to the shortcode.
