Hi. I looked at the steps for the blog shortcode at this link: http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Blog_Shortcode… but I think I need some help with inserting the button shortcode etc.within the blog shortcode. I wanted some precise step by step help. My requirements are pretty straightforward for anyone knowledgeable about the infocus theme.
Assuming that I have a few blog posts published each with a featured image… I want to have these blog posts in a portfolio grid layout on the homepage. I don’t want to create portfolio posts at all for this- I want to use the blog posts. My precise requirements will be
(1) To have the images of the blog posts displayed in a grid fashion (4 columns x10 rows),
(2) To have a caption/title that I will insert to describe the product( not the title of the blog post)
(3) And two buttons… (1) A Green Checkout small fancy button and (2) a Blue Read More small fancy button that leads to the blog post. I looked through the forums… but as a newb I wanted to get an exact breakdown of how to do the following.
(4) Can someone give me the exact shortcode and step by step directions for setting it up(step by step)?
As a reference point….I noticed this site (developed from a mysitemyway theme: homehandywoman.com)…. I would like to have 40 images arranged in the same grid-like fashion as she has except that the only difference is that I will like to have two small fancy buttons underneath each image… one that leads to the blog post and one that leads to an external product page.
Can someone Please help?….. I don’t want to have to hire a developer again.
