Upgrading Awake Theme

   Hi! I see there have been two updates to the Awake theme and its now on v1.3 (SEP 1, 2010). What is the best way to update the theme without breaking anything? I searched this forum for keywords "Upgrade Theme" and did not see an answer, nor did I find it in the documentation.

   Using Awake V1.1 with Wordpress V3.0.1

   Hi nik347,

   If you haven't done any customizations to the theme so far, simply replace the files with the new ones. I can guarantee you it won't do any harm at all!

   Hi,
   Is it only a few files that I could replace with the new ones? I made a few changes but I don't remember exactly where, and in some cases they are difficult (for me) to find.
   If only a few files have to be replaced, could you mention them?
   If many files have been updated, I will of course replace everything.

   The files are..

   /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/functions/shortcode.php
   /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/functions/theme-fucntions.php
   /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/functions/sliders.php
   /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/scripts/galleria/galleria.js
   /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/scripts/galleria/themes/classic/galleria.classic.js

   Thanks for the replies. I will give it a try. I had to make changes to a file for the Google Analytics code to work. If there is a problem I will report back to this thread.

   Hello -

   Main goal: Be able to upload videos from YouTube

   I have read the above posts. Here is what I have done:

   1. Logged into Themforest and downloaded the theme again (am I correct in thinking that this is version 1.3 as it doesn't state it in the account)?
   2. Then I took the files that are listed above and replaced them in my host account
   3. I tried to upload a video and did not have any success

   Can someone please give me some advice on what to do next?

   Paul when you extract your awakw .zip file, and open the awake folder, you will see the changelog file text doc. If you open it up at the top it will say something like this at the very top, which should indicate the version you have.:

   Release notes for Awake
   ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

   Theme Name: Awake

   Version: 1.3 *****<----At the top you will see this in the text doc***---->

    woops sorry I didn't mean to include the working links from the changelog there, it won't let me edit the post it's being blocked.

    Just wanted to add Paul, you should also see your theme version inside your style.css file about 4 lines down or so, and inside your Wordpress admin --> themes and looking at your installed version of awake there it should also show the version.

    Just thought I'd try to help out incase you needed help before support gets back in the morning.

    Hello pmarcel00,

    In case you have not modified any file of the theme, you can just delete all the files inside the theme folder, and upload the new ones that you downloaded.
