Upgrade to 1.6 Troubleshooting

  1. I've been trying to upgrade to Elegance 1.6 and have run into a problem.

As you can see from the screenshot, the admin menu is lacking any design elements (I'm guessing a css problem) - I've tried various methods of deleting old files, re-uploading, re-downloading, etc. - but something seems to be missing.

    Any ideas?

PS Any reason you don't use the built-in upgrade engine of Wordpress? I'm guessing because it's a paid theme, but it seems there has to be an easier way, I accidentally found out there was an upgrade while looking up something else.

    Hello rerockstar,

Deactivate all of your plugins and try reuploading the theme via FTP by following these instructions, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Installation#Manually_installing_via_FTP.

Send us a link to your page and we'll take a look.

  3. Thanks Elliott. Not sure what the cure was, but it worked. ;)
