Uncaught ReferenceError: Cufon is not defined

1. My site is using Dejavu2.1 on WP3.4.1. I have all plugins disabled. When I view the site with Chrome, the JS console displays the following error:

Uncaught ReferenceError: Cufon is not defined /an-obsession-with-pagerank/:305
(anonymous function)

I'm not sure this issue is related to my other problem regarding skin management or not at

2. As another test, I just created a site with a fresh install of WP and Dejavu2.1, with no modifications or anything added.

The Cufon error still occurs.

Using FF and Firebug, it reports the problem on line 199 where it starts with:

/* */var ua = jQuery.browser;if( (!ua.msie)........

Let's try the following,

1. Deactivate all plugins.
2. Create a backup.
3. Completely delete the theme before downloading / uploading a fresh copy.
4. Create a copy of your theme settings in Dashboard -> your theme -> Advanced and then hit the "Reset All Options" button to see if it's a problem with your theme settings.
5. Switch your skin to one of the defaults with no customization to see if it's a problem with your skin.

5. The site in question is a fresh WP install with a default Dejavu install (no customization). All plugins have been deleted.

I can successfully select a skin, but not create or modify a skin.

I tried deleting the theme and reinstalling it, but that made no difference.

Note that the site is running on Hostgator and I have a site running Dejavu2.0 on the same account that doesn't have an issue, so something has changed between Dejavu2.0 and 2.1 to cause the problem (at least in my hosting environment)

Did you hit the "Reset All Options" button and switch your skin to one of the defaults? Send us a private message by clicking on the "PM this user" link beneath our usernames.
