I have Construct setup in a site; http://baumlerlab.com/

and the letter "L" when is a small l appears as bold.

This also happens when I view your demo site of the theme.

I tried to change the skin - typography etc. but it has not fixed this.

    How can this be fixed?

    Hi Kristen,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no one from MSMW staff have responded to this forum or email contacts for over 8 months. I am just another MSMW client who is looking to help out :-)

Regarding your specific problem the construct theme treats lower case 'l' characters the same as any other character (see https://construct.backstopthemes.com/ or the original http://themes.mysitemyway.com/?theme=Construct).

Can you provide a link to a page that manifests this problem on your website...when I look at your website lower case 'l' characters are not bold.

    Kind regards,

  3. I am having the same problem with my website. This problem seems to only exist in Chrome.

Thanks @designallie. I have viewed your website on my Windows PC via the latest Chrome browser and all the lower case 'l' characters appear normal...I'm wondering if this issue is device-specific or operating system specific?

On what type of computer (desktop, tablet, phone) / Operating system (Windows, OSX, IOS, Linux) does this appear to be an issue (so I can reproduce it)?

    Kind regards,

Well thanks for writing back here!

    I'm on a Mac, using Chrome Version 55.0.2883.95 (64-bit).

It is strange - even this support form shows this issue also! I'll take a screenshot and attach.

    My site is http://baumlerlab.com/

It also happens in this site, I'll attach a screenshot of this support page.

    Hi @kbaumlier,

Thanks for clarifying that. I assume when you use the term "Mac" you are referring to the Apple OSX computer and not the Apple iPad (IOS) computer...correct?

The reason I ask is that there are technical differences between browsers that run on the two Apple product variants (see http://arstechnica.com/apple/2016/01/new-chrome-for-ios-is-finally-as-fast-and-stable-as-safari/).

I have released a BackStop Themes v1.0.2 (https://backstopthemes.com) that has eliminated all the MSMW theme warnings related to the core language (PHP7) and core environment (WordPress 4.7) but not the display languages (CSS, JavaScript). These warnings I will be addressing in the upcoming v1.0.3 release over the next 2-3 weeks. The bold 'l' character is a CUFON font (http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/) that is dynamically drawn using the JavaScript language. It is possible that this artefact will disappear once I eliminate the display language warnings. I will reproduce this issue on my Mac and verify v1.0.3 clears up this artefact (if possible).

    Kind regards,

PS: No one knows how long this forum will keep running with the disappearance of the MSMW staff and owners. If you wish to ensure you can continue to communicate w.r.t. the BackStop Themes, email me at admin@backstopthemes.com and I will put you on the new community mailing list.
