Twitter integration not working properly

I have a Wordpress 3.2 Multisite environment using Awake 2.0. The Awake Twitter integration does not seem to work properly. Sometimes I get my tweets, then they are not updated anymore and after a while, I just see "No Twitter Messages". Other Wordpress Twitter plugins work properly.

Before I purchased Awake I tested it on http://trial.mysitemyway.com/toedter-com/blog/ There the Twitter integration works perfectly. On my real site (still under heavy development) I use exactly the same configuration.

    Any hints?

    Thanks

    Kai

    Hello toadter_k,

It seems to be working okay on my end and I haven't noticed any issues when using it yet. Is there a specific time frame where it gives you the "No Twitter Messages" message?

Do you have other twitter related plugins activated?

    Hi Elliott,

I have no twitter related plugins installed. The only plugins I currently have installed (network activated) are: Wordpress Importer, WP Touch, Native dashboard and Akismet.

Currently I can specify any valid twitter account, both in the Awake general settings as well as in the Awake twitter widget and alway get the "No Twitter Messages" displayed. My test site is http://toedtercom.de/blog/

I searched the forum and found that some people hat similar issues with Awake version 1.3. Are their issues supposed to be fixed in 2.0?

    Best regards,

    Kai

Just after submitting the last post, my twitter feed is displayed again (June 15, 5:08pm). Let's wait until it disappears again. I just tweeted a test tweet and the new tweet is not displayed (And I guess it never will be).

Probably something with the cache management.

    Best regards,

    Kai

I just checked again and can see your test tweet toedter_k. Perhaps it was just a hiccup with twitter.

I figured the problem out now: It is not Awake's fault, the twitter rate is exceeded on my server. It is hosted with other sites, so I have to check if I can do something about it.
