    I'm having trouble on tracking events with this theme via my Google Analytics. Basically I want to be able to setup a weekly report telling me how many visitors "clicked out" of my site and through to one of my partners websites. Seems like this should be easy, but I'm really struggling wrapping my head around what needs to be done in this theme.

    Using InFocus and latest Wordpress (3.9)

    I've been experimenting with the new Universal Analytics version of GA, and it's told me I need to create new javascript files, and load them into the header...

    Do I really need to do this, or is there an easier way? I couldnt find anything in the template where I can add code to the header directly, it all was visible header elements. Appreciate your advice,

    Hello TravisBennett,

    You can add stuff to the header in Dashboard -> your theme -> General Settings -> Additional Headers.

    Hi Elliott,

    Still a bit lost, and nothing seems to be working. Can you please walk me through what I need to do to set up Universal Analytics on the Theme?

    Where I'm at now is adding this to Custom Javascript:
    jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
    $('#Partners').on('click', function() {
    ga('send', 'event', 'Partners', 'click', 'Coverage Ltd Thailand');

    This into my header:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/javascript/custom.js"></script>

    And this into the ahrefs link:
    <a href="" target="_blank" onclick="ga('send', 'event', 'Partners', 'click', 'Coverage Ltd Thailand');">

    But it's still not showing up in my event tracking. Have you guys got someone on your side that has experience setting up with Google Analytics upgraded version?

    It would be best to contact the the analytics support or find a freelancer with experience in setting that up.

    Hi Elliott,

    Unfortunately Google Analytics doesn't have a live help.

    What plugin would you recommend using with InFocus to track statistics on clicks on images and hyperlinks?

    I do not know of any plugins that I can recommend. If anyone else knows one then please share it.
