timthumb cropping

   Hi,

   Just wondering if there is a way to select the timthumb cropping options when uploading an image (blog feature image in particular)? My blog posts currently tend to chop of the head of the person in the photo and I would like to be able to select how the image will be cropped when displayed.

   Apologies if anyone has posted this before - spent the last 30mins looking but could not find a recent answer (older versions of timthumb did not have this capability and so one answer said not possible).

   Hello wildapple,

   You can change the image dimensions in Dashboard -> your theme -> Image Resizing, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Image_Resizing#Image_Sizes.

   Thanks Ellliott.

   Not quite what I was after - have already seen that page - but thanks anyway :-)

   Was really wondering if it was possible to add some meta types to the post page that would allow me to set the timthumb cropping options - i.e. crop from top centre or crop from centre right etc.

   Would not have thought it would be too hard to add this to this to the template - will have a look at modifying my installation, but would be worth adding to the theme for everyone I would think.

   That seems like a good idea, I'll move this to feature requests and we'll take a look at adding it in a future update.

   Same request here... Timthumb alignments. The great weakness of Timthumb was corrected in later versions with the addition of the alignment option. Automatic cropping always bring the same problem. Please, add this option in your themes...
