    The last time I worked on my personal site is about 2 months ago. I remeber that some problems forced me to stuck. To start clean I reinstalled wp (german) and refreshed to the latest Version of Awake. Are there some dependencys of adjustments that I didn't observed, or why did only one of the blog layouts work, btw. only one Version of the sliders. Is there a minimum amount of blogposts/images to function correct? I've tried some troubleshooting with adjustments ... deleted all themes and have no plugins installed but it didn't changed anything

    Another thing, I didn't know how to work with the wordpress settings for pages. Is there any advice what to set, that doesn't conflict with the awake settings? It think this works so far with the setting for satic pages - Blog set to none and homepage to home, but I'm not sure. Found nothing in the documentation.

    And if your're not to busy, I have another Question: I like to add a subtle overlay to the full_staged slide.
    How can I set a similar class like .slide_overlay to the full_staged slide? Am I able to change the height of the slide to a 16:9 format?
    Must be around 551px.

    Thanks in advance for your help. As always keep the good work up!

    By the way, is there a way to request features?

    Hello,

    Regarding your questions:

    1) What do you mean with "only one of the blog layouts work"? Have you tried inserting the different blog shortcodes?

    2) In the "Settings->Reading" section of your Wordpress dashboard, you have to leave the "Static FrontPage" field as default. In the "Homepage" section of the theme options panel, you will find some fields that allow you to write the content of your home. You can set the "Blog Page" if you do not want to use the shortcodes for the blog, you can choose between those 2 options.

    3) You can learn how to change the slider dimensions in this tutorial that was specifically written for that purpose: http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Changing_Slider_Dimensions

    Hey, thanks for the quick response!

    2),1) So in this case I set the blogpage to the page "blog" in the awake admin panel. And there is the ability to chose from 3 blog layouts (with image buttons), but only one of them works. Its the version with the first post as one column, and the others divided into two columns. If I changed this, first times it destroyed the layout, later I've got the messsage on the page that it could find no posts. But this is now gone and I only see almost blank page showing a single read more link.

    And if I like to change the slider, this wouldn't work too. The actual working slider is the scolling slider. The other don't pull images in, the preloader stops to work after a few seconds.

    So accidentally I found myself a way to add the subtle overlay to the full_staged slide.

    I only copied the class
    #slider_module_inner .overlay_slide .slide_overlay{background:url(styles/_rgba/black80.png) repeat 0 0;height:350px;left:40px;top:35px;width:400px;}
    and changed it to:
    #slider_module_inner .full_slide .slide_overlay{background:url(styles/_rgba/black50.png) repeat 0 0;height:420px;left:0px;top:0px;width:430px;}
    It seems to work. Did a few aditional changes: reducing the size of the content to 350px and set the z-index to 4 so that the content is displaying above the overlay.
    So the text is a bit better separated from the image!

    I've tested the blog shortcodes, they work so far, but I recognized a new bug with the breadcrumbs and navigation.
    The breadcrumbs didn't show on the single post page the "blog" entry, and doubling instead the title of the post, one time as link.
    The navigation shows no active tab. Did anyone other expect such errors?

    Maybe I have to set up a complete new installation with clean database.

    Hello janthemanson,

    For the fading slider try adding this in your homepage content,

    <script type = 'text/javascript' src = 'http://janthemanson.com/wp-content/themes/awake/lib/scripts/tabs.min.js'></script>

    As for the blog layouts it appears your using #2 right now. Is #1 and #3 not working for you? If so then send us a private message by clicking on "PM this user" beneath our usernames and we'll take a look. Be sure to include a link to your site and a Wordpress login.
