I tried to search the forum but I didn't thing anything relevant.
On one of my client site, I am using the slideshow on the front page but it's super slow to load. Here is the link to the site:
I tried to add cache plugin, didn't change anything. I checked the size of the images all all of them combine represent 336Kb which it's pretty low...
I tried to to a pingdom test and I didn't find anything relevant except this missing image called sub_footer1.png (can't find it on the theme...).!/NMxDJ/

Any idea why it's so slow?

    Hello wpexpert,

It seems ok on my end. It loaded in 6 seconds. The best way to speed up a Wordpress site is to use a caching plugin such as WP Supercache or W3 Total Cache. A plugin such as BWP Minify will help in minifying all of the JS and CSS as well.

    Hello Elliott,

Did you read my post? I did add cache plugin and doesn't change anything. 6 seconds! It's not good for a WordPress website or any website. My pro website load in 776ms: and most of my clients WordPress load under 2s. And most of them are using cheat hosting company...
Definitely something wrong with the slider. Is there an option on the front page to replace it?

That all depends on your hosting provider and the speed of your own internet connection.

If you do not want to use the homepage slider then delete all of the slides in Dashboard > your theme > Slideshow.
