Slider - multiple per page and no post

resolved (6 posts) (2 voices)

I need to add several auto rotating sliders to a page. For example, four columns with a slider in each column - see picture attached niva.jpg.

I want to add fancy border and shadow (like the portfolio jCarousel slider).

Is there a way to add images to a portfolio without making a "post" for each image?
Or, can I add a border and shadow to the Nivo slider?

I found a four year old post with a bunch of hoops to jump through - and I'm still not sure the post addresses the problem.

Also attached is example using jCarousel with three portfolio posts. This one doesn't resize the photos. Where would I put the width and height variables for this.

Maybe I'm missing another way to accomplish this.

    Hope you can help. Thanks!

    1. I think I moved or deleted the page I referenced earlier. I will try to recreate it if necessary.

    2. My goal is to have styling and multiple slideshows like shown here. This page shows "static pictures" of three slideshows on one page, with the border and shadow. I would like to achieve this effect without having to make a portfolio post for each photo.

    3. I thought I read somewhere that this is possible, but the steps/code to achieve this are buried amongst several topics.

Do you have an example page using MULTIPLE SLIDESHOW WITH BORDER AND SHADOWS? Do you have a FAQ or step by step example to not use portfolio posts.

I own both the inFocus HTML and inFocus WordPress. I would like to use the HTML version for the above effect, but if it is only possible with the WordPress version - I can band-aid the site and just use the WordPress version for the multiple slider page.

Thanks so much for your help.

P.S. I am unable to post public link to the site. If necessary I can send a link to site via email. Assuming replies here will be public.

Oh ... I just had a brainstorm. Maybe I can add the border and shadow to Revolution Slider using CSS. I'll give it a try.

Let me know if this is not the right approach. LOL

OK. So no responses. Well, I did find a work-around.

(( Still looking for a way to add image effects to Niva and/or other sliders ))

Posting a work-around here to help others.

    [galleria transition="fade" width="446" height="277" enable="image_crop,show_counter,show_imagenav,pause_on_interaction,lightbox"]

    and so forth
