Shortcode issues and uploading problems

    Hello,

    I know I purchased this theme awhile ago, and never really got to work with it. I have version 1.6, and when I try to download the new one (it says theres a newer version) it does not upload nor display properly. I tried multiple times and am unsure of what the issue could be. The shortcodes/ portfolio also seem to not be working. I am redoing my older site which is tylonproducts.com , so incase anybody needs to see visually what is going on.
    Any help would be great.

    Hello kms124,

    It looks like your still using inFocus 1.6. Go ahead and create a backup and upload the new version and rename your old folder to "infocus_1.6".

    Hello there Elliott,

    I tried and the new themes do not display properly. This is what I get (I attached the two images).

    That is the latest I just downloaded as of yesterday.

    It looks like you renamed the theme folder. That will cause issues so delete it and upload as fresh copy.

    Still the same issue. I deleted all the other files too since there were multiple uploads, so I have no idea what could be wrong?

    What permissions is your infocus folder set to? If it's not set to 755 then go ahead and change that.

    Ah. It was set to 700, I just changed it. The website still isn't working though? the logo not displays under the themes panel which it wasn't before.

    Check your other folders and files if they are using the correct permissions as well. Contact your hosting provider and let them know about this to see what they say.

    Yes, the permissions are the same for all folders and files. I never had an issue like this before with any theme. My hosting is fine, all the other themes work, just this newer version doesn't. The older theme does.

    I also just checked via FTP- and it says the file is there than it says "No such file or directory"... in the CSS ones. I'm wondering if it could be corrupted?

    EDIT. I actually just tried re-uploading it a few times and the 5th time it seemed to go through. I havn't tried the shortcodes yet, but hopefully this will work.

    It's most likely with how your uploading it. Use FTP to make sure the files get there correctly and with the correct permissions, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Installation.

    Well I got most of it to work now, thank you. The only thing is my portfolio that seems to be off. http://www.tylonproducts.com/portfolio/ ; for some reason the posts are not displaying properly? and under portfolio, it claims the pages do not exist when they do?

    Try surrounding your shortcode with [raw] [/raw] tags. The posts themselves seem to be displaying fine.

    I did the raw tags; but I don't know why the 2nd image is underneath the first when it should be next to it to the right.

    It's an issue with our preloader. Surrounding your shortcode with [raw] [/raw] tags should be fixing it. Also, if your not using inFocus 2.5 then be sure to update as this was fixed in the latest version.

    I apologize for posting again; I did send you the information. Just want to make sure you got it.

    I'm going to need to have this site working some time next week (portfolio) because I'm going in to some meetings/ interviews hopefully, and often they check out and pull up my site, and I really want to get the content there that should be in the portfolio section. I have to re-post hundreds of images and can't if it isn't display correctly.

    Sorry for the trouble.

    Hello,

    I am sorry for bothering you again. The portfolio still isn't working, and I don't mean to be rude but I really need it up and running ASAP because I do have interviews this week and this website is on my resume, therefore I need the portfolio section to work. I updated the version, however it still didn't work. Therefore I do not currently have the time to re-customize it under the new update.

    Please, I really need to get this working. I don't want to go into an interview and be looked down upon because my portfolio isn't working. I know I have my other website, but I would like this one to be functioning properly too. That is the only issue I see.
