[shortcode] in teaser text, is it possible | Awake

   I'm trying to add a button to my home page teaser text much in the same way as the demo page here:
   http://themes.mysitemyway.com/awake/

   But when a try to use the button shortcode the style is a little off, and the button doesn't look quite right. Also if I ty to align the button using the column shortcodes they don't work correctly, or at all.

   Is there any reason why the following code wouldn'work as teaser text?
   

   [one_sixth]
   [button link="#" variation="hot_pink"]Get a Quote![/button]
   [/one_sixth]
   [five_sixth_last]
   Content here
   [/five_sixth_last]

   Hello paddy000,

   Your button is just a little too big for a one_sixth, let's try this instead,

   [one_fifth]
   [button link="#" variation = "hot_pink"]Get a Quote![/button]
   [/one_fifth]
   [four_fifth_last]
   Content here
   [/four_fifth_last]

   By default anything inside the teaser text is replaced with Cufon so that is why your button looks a little weird. What we can do is take the cufon off for that specific element.

   Open up /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/scripts/custom.js and on line 200 you should see this,

   Cufon.replace('#blurb,#footer_teaser_text', { textShadow: '#f9f9f9 1px 1px' });

   Try changing it like this,

   Cufon.replace('#blurb h1, .cufon,#footer_teaser_text', { textShadow: '#f9f9f9 1px 1px' });

   And if you want the rest of the teaser text to be converted to cufon then surround it with spans like this,

   <span class = 'cufon'>Here is some cufon text</span>

   Let us know if this works for you paddy000.

   I replaced that line with the code you suggested, this hasn't changed the blurb, the header teaser text is still replaced by cufon.

   Hello paddy000,

   I checked your page but you did not have any shortcodes in the teaser text. Go ahead and paste the code that you were using so we can take a look.

   Also, if you want it exactly like how it is in the demo then you will want to use the large size like this,

   [button link="#" size="large"]Your Link Text Here[/button]

   Or perhaps what you are trying to do is have a homepage without the slider? If this is the case then try this,

   1. Navigate to Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading and make sure that you do not have a static page set to display as the front page.
   2. Navigate to Dashboard -> Awake -> Homepage and select a page to display inside your homepage content. You will see this in the "Homepage Content Area" dropdown.
   3. In the same area make sure the "Disable Slider" checkbox is checked.

   This will create a homepage like the one on our demo but without a slider.

   Hi there,

   Apologies, I completely forgot that the homepage teaser button could be configured from the Awake admin menu.

   Thanks for pointing it out, such a great feature to have!
