Search in main nav (or header area)

    Hi again (sorry).

I use Awake for my company's site and love the discrete Search field in the nav. I have noticed that a number of the themes in the membership package don't (appear to) have a Search field in the neav or header at all, nor an option to 'switch' one on in the theme options. I know there is a Search widget that come with WordPress but obviously this isn't much good if you want a Search field site-wide in a non-widgeted area.

Have I missed something in the docs or is this a feature that some themes e.g. Modular, simply don't have? And if not, has anyone come up with a straight-forward reliable solution?

    Thanks,
    David

Hello sunstardave, sorry for the late reply. It looks like you posted this in feature requests.

We have a search form shortcode which you might be interested in, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Widget_Shortcodes#Search.

If you want it displayed in the header see here, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Adding_stuff_to_the_header.
