Redo Hacks Made to Awake 1.x for 2.x; Static Search Box & Edit Contact Us Field

   With the help of the forums I had made some code changes to the Awake 1.x theme that I would like to make to the 2.x version. The code base is significantly different, and these are a bit beyond a new skin. How can these hacks been accomplished in 2.x?

   - Change the search box so instead of appearing on hover that it is embedded (always visible)

   Hello marbuckner,

   1. Navigate to Dashboard -> Awake -> General Settings and add this in the extra header text field,

   <div id = 'static_search'>[search]</div>

   And this in the custom CSS field,
   

   #fancy_search { display: none; }
   #static_search { z-index: 9999; width: 300px; position: absolute; top: 70px; right: 20px; }

   2. Open up /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/classes/widget-contact.php and you can find the contact widget. You'll just need to copy the format used for the other form fields and add another. For example copy the "email" field and add your own beneath it on lines 29, 47, 65, 81, and 105.
