  1. Awake2.3 has a built-in prettyPhoto library. It is conflicting with "WP Lightbox Ultimate". The "WP Lightbox Ultimate" works fine and is playing video but an extra image box is popping up. This error only happens with Awake theme activated. I have tried with the default wordpress theme and I have no issues. Can you guys help me fix this?

    Hello bidum00,

Your wanting to use your lightbox plugin instead of prettyphoto correct? Open up /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/lib/scripts/custom.js and delete lines 75 - 77,

    jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto'], a[rel^='lightbox']").prettyPhoto({
    	overlay_gallery: false, social_tools: '', 'theme': 'light_square' /* light_square / dark_rounded / light_square / dark_square / facebook */

Try that out and let us know if it works for you.

  3. Awsome, so, to make pictures pop with prettyphoto I won't be able to use Awake shortcode anymore, correct?

Sorry, in your first post it appeared you were wanting to use a lightbox plugin, are you wanting to use prettyphoto now? Or perhaps your wanting to make our image shortcodes work with your lightbox plugin?

  5. All I want is to popup video like the photos popup. If the Awake theme can do this, great, I just need to ask how. If not then cool.

I don't want to disable Awake functions to make this other plugin work if I don't have to. This lightbox video plugin is working now with changes above. In my previous post, I was simply trying to find out what function we disables, so I know.

Yes, prettyphoto has the ability to display videos,

    <a href="" rel="prettyPhoto" title=""><img src="images/thumbnails/flash-logo.jpg" alt="YouTube" width="60" /></a>

    <a href="" rel="prettyPhoto" title=""><img src="images/thumbnails/flash-logo.jpg" alt="YouTube" width="60" /></a>

    <a href="" rel="prettyPhoto[flash]" title="Flash 10 demo"><img src="images/thumbnails/flash-logo.jpg" alt="Flash 10 demo" width="60" /></a>

  7. I host my own video file and refuse to use youtube type services. How would I use this feature to popup my mp4 files from my own server?

I'm not sure if MP4 is supported, I would ask on their support forums,

  9. I think this issue has been mis-diagnosed. I could be wrong. Unfortunately, I don't really know the backend of prettyphoto or lightbox. I try to leave all the major code to you code lovers.

What I do know, is that I would like for my videos files to pop-up like the demos on this page (
With "WP Lightbox Ultimate" activated, my mp4 videos pop-up but an extra box pops up also and complains that the image can not be found. This error has been traced down, by tipsandtricks Techsupport, to my themes prettyphoto. I don't know if they are correct.

Removing the code above as instructed fixes the extra pop-up box and error but fancy images shortcode doesn't work anymore.

What would be the best way to implement the popping up of video in a lightbox utilizing my own hosting server to host video files?
Currently I have the "WP Lightbox Ultimate" plugin activated and put the code that was removed from custom.js back in. You can view this issue here

  10. Ok, So you guys have already coded in what I want. I just didn't know how to to use it. After doing a bit of research, I have found that using/manipulating prettyphoto is prettyEasy. Seems as if mp4 files are not supported. But magically enough, they work if you change the file format to .mov.

    <a title="PowerMic Commercial" href="" rel="prettyPhoto[video_production]"><img src="" alt="PowerMic Commercial" /></a>

I used the above code to popup my mp4 video, all browsers work except for chrome. There is a thin white box overlaying the video. I have no idea where it comes from. Any Ideas?

I'm having issues with my Quicktime installation, I'll try reinstalling it.

Can you take a screenshot of what your seeing? When I viewed your link it appeared that the lightbox was loading unless you changed the prettyPhoto skin.

  12. Yeah I changed the skin, in which changes the white bar to a black bar that overlaps the video. Here is the screen capture you seek -

I'm not seeing it on my end. What browser, version, and operating system are you using? It's the black looking bar across your video right? It appears to be coming from the facebook button underneath.

  14. Google Chrome 15.0.874.121
Ok, so I disabled the wp-like plugin and the bar is gone. This issue is not an Awake issue I guess
I don't need that plugin anyway, thanks dude

All I have to do now is figure out how to make this thing auto-resize video

Alrighty, glad you got it sorted. As for resizing video I don't think it has that functionality but you can ask on their forums to see if anyone has done something like this.
