Portfolios segmented by text?

    Hello,

    This is a great WordPress theme, I'm very happy to be using it.

    I have one question concerning the portfolio placement on pages. I am trying to setup multiple portfolios in a one column page. Each portfolio has a header and text associated with it. Right now the portfolios automatically fall to the bottom of the page instead of staying within the text I'd like them to be in.

    Website: http://jameslhall.com/about-jim/
    The portfolio with the schools should be within the Education header. I plan on placing another portfolio in which will be within the Life Highlights header.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

    Hello BenjaminYBR,

    Glad your liking our themes.

    inFocus does not currently support multiple portfolios in the same page as Awake does. We are currently developing a new framework though so we will probably see this functionality in the next update. Stay subscribed to our Twitter and RSS feeds to be notified of future updates. http://webtreats.mysitemyway.com/, http://mysitemyway.com/offer/

    Until then consider using our fancy_images shortcode to add additional images to your portfolio page, http://mysitemyway.com/support/topic/infocus-creating-gallery-from-a-set-of-photos.

    Elliott,

    Thank you for the response and the fancy_images shortcode. I've uploaded it and I'm playing with it now. I seem to have issues with two things.
    1. The thumbnail does not display the full image. Both images are the same 300px width.
    2. The thumbnail on the second image is taking the thumbnail from the portfolio below.

    Here is a link to the page I'm working on: http://jameslhall.com/about-jim/. Let me know what you think. I apologize if I did not see this discussed in the thread you provided.

    Again, thank you for your time and effort, it's much appreciated.

    I see what you mean BenjaminYBR, go ahead and post the code you used for that page so we can do some testing on our end.

    Here is the code starting from the line divider above Education header.

    [divider_top]Education:

    [/fancy_images]

    Hello BenjaminYBR,

    Open up /wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/functions/shortcode.php and on line 60 you should see this,

    $out .= '<span id="img'.$counter.'"><img src="'. $image_url_true .'" style="opacity: 1;" alt="" class="hover_fade"></span>';

    Try changing it like this,

    $out .= '<span id="img"><img src="'. $image_url_true .'" style="opacity: 1;" alt="" class="hover_fade"></span>';

    And let us know if that fixes it for you.

    Elliott,

    That worked like a dream come true! It isn't an issue for me, but it may be worth noting that when the images are open in an iframe (or whatever that may be called) that all the images on the page are available to click through.

    Now if only I could get the images in [fancy_image] to scale down properly. Currently they seem to scale up and out of the frame, but when you click on the image and the iframe comes up, the real size of the image comes through.

    Thank you for all of your help. This is truly great! I know I will be recommending inFocus as a theme to others and will be buying more licenses in the future for different projects. Thank you!

    If you want them to be separated inside the lightbox then in the same file find line 53 which should look like this,

    if ($links[$counter] != '') { $img = $links[$counter]; } else { $rel = " rel = 'lightbox[portfolio]'"; }

    and change it like this,

    if ($links[$counter] != '') { $img = $links[$counter]; } else { $rel = " rel = 'lightbox[custom]'"; }

    The reason that your images are being zoomed is because they are being resized to fit the dimensions. It would be best to crop your images to 276 x 151 before uploading.

    Elliott,

    Thank you very much. That [custom] change did the trick. Also, as a warning to others who are experiencing the sizing problem with your [fancy_image], make sure to check that your images are 72 DPI! I was messing with a 300 DPI image... hence the problem, even at 276x151.

    Thank you again, Elliott. You've been extremely helpful with helping me out. I will definitely be using inFocus for future projects (with a new license of course!).

    Cheers!
