Portfolio Not Working

My portfolio isn't working, just gives the spinning graphic. Everything I've read indicates that's related to resizing the image with TimThumb. I'm on HostGator, so have followed these instructions:

    http://www.elegantthemes.com/troubleshooting-timthumb.html

And have spoken w/hostgator support twice. They say my site is whitelisted for timthumb & all the permissions are correct (755 for folders, 644 for thumb.php)... I'm missing something and just can't see it... any help? Thanks!

    Hello DeanLaVelle,

Is this the image that you are using?

    http://www.thinkwebcentric.com/wp-content/themes/infocus/images/obrien-276.jpg

Try taking out the hyphen in the filename to see if this works. Also go ahead and change the permissions on,

    /wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/scripts/thumb.php

to 777 and see if that makes a difference. If it is still not loading then PM us WP Login details so we can take a closer look.

Removed the hyphen and changed the permission to 777, still not working. PM'd you the credentials... thanks!

Changed the permission back to 644 per HostGator since the change to 777 didn't help, FYI.

I noticed your on 1.3 DeanLaVelle. If you have not done major customization then let's go ahead and create a backup and download the latest version of inFocus from themeforest.

I'm not sure if this will fix the issue but it is always best to have the latest version to make sure all the bugs are fixed. Once you are finished we will take another look.

    Hello DeanLaVelle,

In regards to your PM I understand we will be holding off on this issue for a couple of days for your website's event.

When you get back try switching your image paths between absolute and relative like this..

    Absolute: http:www.yoursite.com/1.jpg
    Relative: wp-content/2010/08/1.jpg

FYI... deactivated all plugins; HostGator has whitelisted the site; verified permissions (755 folders; 644 files); I read through all gallery/portfolio threads here & have followed the "create gallery" tutorials; tried relative file paths; upgraded to latest build of theme... nothing seems to help.

    Hello DeanLaVelle,

Your image is now giving me a 404,

    http://www.thinkwebcentric.com/631-2/wp-content/themes/infocus/images/obrien276.jpg

Your portfolio is acting kind of weird still, I thought upgrading to 1.6 would have made it behave (currently it is not using the resize script when it should be).

If you have not done any customization then try redownloading a fresh copy of inFocus and uploading it.

That's not the correct path, this is: http://www.thinkwebcentric.com/wp-content/themes/infocus/images/obrien.jpg. This is what's in the Page Options (relative path though: wp-content/themes/infocus/images/obrien.jpg). I did download & upload a fresh copy of InFocus, no change.

Thanks, I'm going to dig into this and try to figure it out. I'll post back if I do... I'm assuming it's related to something I've done.
