    If I use the shortcode and select a category, where do the images come from? In other words how can I create different portfolio pages/galleries and have the same image in more then just one of them

    For example I have a project with images, I want image A to show in a project portfolio but also in a portfolio / gallery containing all products A of the company

    The images are set on your portfolio post as the "Featured Image". See here for how to set up a portfolio post, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Using_the_Portfolio.
