I added the password protect to certain pages, but when I visit the pages, they show up for me and say protected yet do not prompt to enter a password. What could be causing this? I need to have them blocked until the password is entered.

    Hello nddiana,

Deactivate all of your plugins and update Wordpress and the theme to their latest versions.

It is running the most recent version- construct 1.1 And there are no activated plugins. It seems to happen in Internet Explorer...Also tried updating the line in the theme.php as mentioned in a previous post and still not working in IE...

Create a backup and completely delete the theme before downloading / uploading a fresh copy.

If your still having problems then send us a link.

  6. Where can I edit the info on the default start page for password protected pages. It currently says:

This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:

I would like to change the wording but I can't figure out which php page that's in. Thanks in advance.

    It's on line 2867 in /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/lib/functions/theme.php,

<p>' . __( 'This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:', MYSITE_TEXTDOMAIN ) . '</p>
