Page appear in Popular Posts

   Hi,

   I just noticed that one of my pages appeared in widget Popular Posts (at the bottom of sidebar). This page got many comments recently. Since there is no thumbnail (is empty) my question is how and where to set thumb for this page. I'm using InFocus 1.6.

   Hello csanyigroup,

   Never seen that before. Must be a plugin that is messing with the queries or something. Try creating a new custom field in that page with a name of "post_image" and a value of a URL to your image.

   I tried this and it doesn't work. When I update this page previously added custom field 'post_image' dissapears!? I tried to add it few times and the same.

   Do you have any suggestion what to do? I haven't mess this code at all, so it's intact.

   I would try deactivating your plugins to see if any are causing conflicts. The custom field disappearing does not sound good either. Try switching to the default theme and back and then update the page.

   Is it just that page where the custom field disappears?

   Yes, just the page. On posts it works well.

   Strange is that page is included in counting number of comments.

   For some reason if you update the page it always deletes the custom field. If you just add a custom field and do not update it seems to save though.

   I'll do some more researching on this but you should be able to get it working if you do not update the page.

   You're right, THIS WORKS! I would never guess that custom field can be saved without actually updating the page!
