Need some portfolio help!

   The are so many people asking for portfolio help. But, the more I read the more confused I get.
   There has to be something missing in the directions or something I'm not getting.

   I want to set up three portfolios on my site. Each with 12 or so images.
   Followed but some text ( text box) below each portfolio that talks about the images.

   Additional, I want to set up a main portfolio that just has the big image and the side bar. (The way things were in the original theme, before the upgrades)

   Can someone explain this to me like I'm a 5 year old, or possibly go in and set them up for me. Maybe, I can follow what I see. I'm sure I can do that, LOL. I've created so many sites, but for some reason this one is kicking my butt. There has to be something I'm not understanding.

   Hello,

   In the newest version of the theme, you'll see that the portfolio galleries now retrieve their items from a custom post type (as opposed to the previous version, where regular posts were used). So, if you have 36 gallery items in total (12 for each of your galleries), then you have to create 36 portfolio posts. You also need 3 portfolio categories, so you can then filter those items in each of your 3 portfolio pages.

   Now that you have your 36 items, divided in 3 categories, you have to create 3 regular pages, once for each of your portfolio galleries. There, insert a portfolio shortcode using the shortcodes generator. You'll see that the generator asks you to choose a category for that particular shortcode, so you can filter the items in your gallery.

   Thanks Ruderic, that was really driving me crazy, I decided to go with the fancy images, which is working better for me except the first image, if you take a look at http://onesourcegraphics.org/portfolio/ you'll see the first image just won't load. And the funny thing is when i change the order of the images the same thing happens, the first image won't load.

   I haven't completed building this page out as yet, but this is what I have so far:

   Now everything looks good to me, what else could be causing this? It has to be in the script. Because it's not the image, as I say whichever image I put in that spot won't load.

   appreciate you helping me with this. I've been very happy with this theme. But this upgrade is killing me, LOL
