Need help with InFocus and GoDaddy

   I know this is more of a Godaddy or wordpress issue but I need help.\

   I worked all weekend getting my website done with the Infocus theme. I have my domain name and hosting with Godaddy.com. I can work and see the Infocus theme and changes when I'm in the domain name http://www.xyz.com/wordpress (not my real website, just an example) but my real domain name (ie http://www.xyz.com) displays that the web site is currently under construction.

   Does anyone know how I get the wordpress in Godaddy to now point or forwarded to my main domain name? I want people to see it at http://www.xyz.com, not http://www.xyz.com/wordpress.

   Again, I know this is a Godaddy or wordpress thing but I'm getting no solid help from either. Can you tell I'm new with this?

   Hey dalethompson,

   You want your domain name to point to your inFocus installation correct? You could ask GoDaddy information on how to do a redirect.

   It would probably be best if you go ahead and install wordpress on your server's root folder though. If GoDaddy is using apache then when you FTP in you might see a folder called public_html, that is where you will want to install wordpress.

   Thanks for the help. You are right, I needed to install it on my root folder again. I tried to do it manually but the instructions are as clear as mud on godaddy and even wordpress... much easier to just do it over again, it will only take me 1-2 hours to do.
