    Hi,

I need to create a number of side by side, before and after photos of interior design.

    1. I need them to pop up and only show two photos fore each group
    2. I REALLY need a caption to appear under each thumbnail and if possible under each photo when it pops up.

How can I accomplish this. Is Fancy images the best solution with this template.

    appreciate the help.

    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hello dotman,

Go ahead and do the customization in the bottom of this thread, http://mysitemyway.com/support/topic/fancy-images-prev-next-buttons-in-lightbox.

You can then choose which images open up in which gallery with the fancy_images shortcode.

If you want more images to display in prettyPhoto then you can add this like so,

    <a href = "link to your image" rel = "prettyPhoto[your_gallery_id]" style = "display: none;"></a>

They won't display on the page but they will display with your images in prettyPhoto. As for the captions make sure to set the alt / title text in the shortcode, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Fancy_Images.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I want the caption to show as text below/underneath each of the photos. putting in the code below just shows a tool tip. Do I have to do this manually with a div or something? Is there a plugin that might do this so the client can add them easily without having to know html?

    [fancy_images]
    [image title="Title Text" alt="Alt Text"]http://localhost/jerore/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/HolHill_kitchen_before.jpg[/image]

    [/fancy_images]

    Thanks,
    Doug

    Your wanting to do this,

    [fancy_images]
    [image title="Title Text" alt="Alt Text"]http://localhost/jerore/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/HolHill_kitchen_before.jpg[/image]
    [/fancy_images]
    <p>here is a caption</p>

If you want them to line up in columns then you can use our column shortcodes, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Column_Shortcodes.

Thanks Elliot, I think i have the two coloums working as a group with captions. One oddity is, with the url like this when a group is opened:

    http://localhost/jerore/portfolio/celebrate-holiday-pines/#!prettyPhoto[mygroup]/0/

If the page is reloaded, the last photo pops up instantly. which I understand why, and not a huge deal, but would be nice if it didn't.

    Thanks,
    Doug
