Navigation/Top Menu animation gets stuck (Flicks up & down by itself) - inFocus

This is surely a fairly universal bug that isn't SO important, but is annoying me none-the-less.
When you roll over the top nav, the menu drops down and although I don't have the exact conditions, if you roll off it, it can get stuck in a loop and continue to hop up and down. Rather weird and not very beautiful.

Is there a fix for this?

I'll admit its hard to reproduce, but I get this happening multiple times per day when building.

    Anyone else experiance this?

I'm getting it reproducing (by mucking about with the menu enough) on Firefox on Mac & PC.

    Hello breezemaster,

I've never seen that before. Have you done any customizations?

If possible then send us a link to your page so we can take a closer look.

    Hi Guys,

This is a definite issue. Not a deal-breaker, but it's real. It happens in every inFocus site I've seen with sub-menus of the primary horizontal menu at top. It even happens on your own inFocus demo site. Oddly, it only happens in Firefox (I'm currently using version 3.6.13). I've tried to duplicate the effect in Safari/PC, Safari/Mac, Opera, Chrome and IE 7/8 without success.

To duplicate the effect move you cursor semi-quickly from top-left to bottom-right, in a diagonal motion, across any horizontal menu item with sub-links. You may have to fiddle with it a bit, but the effect is real. The drop-down menu gets stuck in a rapid open-close cycle that doesn't stop until you move your cursor.

Try it on any of these sites:

    Cheers.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.13 on Windows 7. I tried what you said and I noticed that the jQuery events stack on top of each other but I could not get them "stuck" as everyone has said.

I'll go ahead and flag this for Webtreats to see if there are any known issues with flickering in the menus.

@plpapeman, That is interesting that it only happens in Firefox. Make sure that you are using the latest version and make sure to disable your add-ons to see if they are causing problems.

    Hi everyone,

We've had a few people report this menu bug, but it's difficult to debug as it happens very sporadically. We plan on taking a closer look at this in the update we're currently working on for inFocus. We'll post a resolution in this thread when we have one.
