Menu Left Padding & Right Padding

resolved (6 posts) (2 voices)

  1. After several attempts I can not find the control element in the CSS - Menu in order to change (minimize) the padding on the Left & Right side of the main menu nav so that my last menu item does not wrap to the second row. I have even turned off the search function.

    I assume it is in the CSS file but maybe not.

    Your assistance is much appreciated.

    Hello nonprofitpartners,

    It looks as if your menu is not using any CSS at all. I'm sorry but there is too many customizations going on there to know what the problem is. I recommend uploading a fresh copy of the theme or hiring a freelancer to help you customize your site.

    It does look a bit ominous at first blush. In reality only a few modification were actually made and all were your recommendations
    ---The Home page is only "Custom Homepage Text" with 3 flash elements all else is turned off in the "Dejavu" manager
    ___ The Child Theme has only 2 adjustments -1- in the header file allowing the Header Banners, your recommendation. -2- Styles CSS "Header Position Adjustment" and "#fancy_search { display: none; }" also your recommendation.
    That is it.
    I attached an image to better articulate what I am wanting to do, change the padding. And I know once you explain the padding adjustment location in the file are I will feel really dumb. But I am willing to put myself out on the limb.
    Thank you

  5. WOW ! No wonder your were hands off.

    I always check this site against: FireFox, IE, iPad2-Safari, and at times against andriod phone. On andriod phone yes it does look like what you are viewing.

    The latest versions of Firefox and Chrome.

    To take the padding off try this,

    #primary_menu { padding: 1px 0px !important; }
