    Hi,

    First of all, thank you for the awesome work you do. Your themes are amazing. This is my first post but I did search the forum for quite a while before resorting to asking for help. So thank you for what seems like quick responses and great support.

    Five main questions.

    1) When using the wordpress menus, I set up custom links with the URL set to '#' to disable some of my top-level pages. That being said, those top level pages aren't dynamically highlighted when browsing their child pages. Is there any way to do this with these custom pages? We have a lot of new clients that are exploring our site for the first time and I would like to keep them oriented a little better.

    2a) I really like the testimonial widget you implemented with the new version. However, I'm wondering if there is any option to make the testimonials scroll on a timer?
    2b) Is there any way to add the testimonial widget to another section other than the sidebar? Say, the homepage Outro section? Or have a sidebar and bottom bar on the homepage simultaneously.
    2c) Is there any way to preferentially select one category of testimonials per widget? Say, a Spa testimonials category on our Spa page?

    3) If you look at our mailchimp signup form (on the homepage sidebar as well as footer), you will notice that it has some entry box misalignments (using the mailchimp plugin). Is there an easy way to fix this?

    4) Is there a way to globally change the hyperlink color but not the hover color? I've upgraded the theme to the newest version, and we're using a green variation of the "glass skin". I would like the hover color to stay green, but we want the hyperlink to stand out a little bit more with a blue.

    5) The background is fantastic with the glass skin, but wondering perhaps if there is a way to lighten the fade from green to black. I looked through the skin editing section and was unsuccessful. Our logo is a bit hard to read over the dark part of the background...other than that, it's great.

    Thanks so much for your help. We really appreciate it.

    Hello thefeelgoodworld,

    1. You can try doing what we did on our demos, http://themes.mysitemyway.com/awake/pages/, you'll notice that when clicking on a parent level item will include links to all of the child items to help the user navigate.

    2.a No, not currently.
    2.b There is a widget version you can use, see our shortcode generator, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Using_the_Shortcode_Generator.
    2.c Yes you can select categories.

    3. You can style it by adding these in Dashboard -> your theme -> General Settings -> Custom CSS,

    .mc_merge_var {  } /* the individual rows */
    .mc_var_label {  } /* the labels */
    .mc_merge_var input {  } /* the inputs inside each row */
    .mc_signup_submit {  } /* the submit button row */
    .mc_signup_submit input {  } /* the submit button */

    4. You can change this when editing the skin, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Creating_a_new_Skin.

    5. This is changed with the "Color Scheme" when editing your skin or you can add this in Dashboard -> your theme -> General Settings -> Custom CSS,

    body { background-color: white !important; }

    Thanks so much Elliot. I appreciate your very fast response.

    I'm still having a few problems, however. I'll try to keep it short.

    1) I do have the child items set up with the "feature tour" page style. I believe that's what you were referring to. But when clicking on any one of the child pages, the parent item from the main menu (i.e. the navigation bar) does not remain highlighted (your demo theme does, and even has a triangle indicator). Any suggestions?

    2) Awesome, thanks. What a great application of shortcodes, so easy to customize. I'm sorry for not reading your tutorials more carefully before asking about this.
    But, I'm running into a new problem now. No matter what I do, I can't seem to set an "order" to the testimonials. Every time I change it, it resets back to "0". So, the order is basically defaulted to most recent first. Thoughts?

    3) I copied and pasted the custom CSS for the mailchimp widget plugin, but I'm not quite sure how to style it. (I would like it to look like this: http://lovingkindofbusiness.com/). Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

    4) Great, I learned where to change the hyperlink color, but there is one problem now. The header menu also changed colors, and is now very difficult to see. I would like the header menu to have the same color scheme as the footer: links-grey, hover-white.

    5) I tried both methods of changing the background color, and neither worked unfortunately. The custom CSS did nothing and the skin editing changed the wrong color (it changed the green). The rays of green are perfect, but the transition to black is what is too dark.

    Thank you again! We really appreciate this forum and all the hard work that you do.

    PS. Is there any chance you might be able to offer a professional suggestion? We are looking into various online stores to add to our site, what would you recommend for wordpress? What do you use?

    Thanks so much

    1. Send us a link to the page.

    2. You'll have to set the order in the query. See lines 99 - 108 in /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/lib/shortcodes/27-testimonials.php.

    3. The form I see from your link is not styled at all.

    4. Add this in your custom CSS,

    .header_links a { color: red !important; }

    5. The "rays" is the skin background image which you can find in /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/styles/glass/glass.png.

    Thanks. Still having some issues.

    2. I looked in that file, but don't know how to set the order in the query. What is happening is that the default 'order' for the testimonials is "0", and no matter what I try to change them to, it restores to "0" upon save. I found a loophole (kind of), where i just change the time they were added to reflect the order that I want them to be displayed.

    3. I actually don't want any special styling, just want the form entry boxes to be wider and line up parallel to one another.

    4. Thanks, this helped, but there is no longer a hover color. Any chance to add that back in?

    5. Solved.

    6. New shortcode problem- on this page: http://thefeelgoodworld.com/food-juice-cleanse/whats-fresh
    The first set of "vertical tabs" operates normally. The second set of "vertical tabs" does not: i.e. clicking a different tab changes the content displayed, however the first tab ('appetizers') remains selected.

    Thanks so much for all your help.

    1. I don't see any featured tour template from your link.

    3. Add this in Dashboard -> your theme -> General Settings -> Custom CSS,

    .mc_form_inside input {
        float: right;
    }
    .mc_merge_var {
        padding-bottom: 15px !important;
    }

    6. Try this, http://mysitemyway.com/support/topic/adding-multiple-vertical-tabs-on-a-page?replies=2#post-35254.
