Is inFocus compatible with Wordpress 3.1 or newer?

Using Firefox, I uploaded the inFocus theme (not the zip file, just the inFocus file) to Wordpress 3.1 and received an Server error message when I tried to activate the file. Still using Firefox, I tried to go directly to my domain and received the same error page. I tried to go the wp-admin for my domain and, also, received the same error.

I then went to my domain using Internet Explorer and could see the inFocus theme. I then tried to go to wp-admin in internet explorer and received the same Server Error message that I received in Firefox.

Using FileZilla, I deleted the theme from my FTP site and reloaded it several times, repeating the above process and each time I received the Server Error message.

I then cleared all of my cache and both Firefox and internet explorer allowed me to see the inFocus theme on my domain page, they both allowed me to go to the wp-admin log in page, but when I logged in, I received the same error message.

I contacted my hosting company, GoDaddy, and they did not report any issues with their server. The thought either the theme is broken OR the inFocus theme may not be compatible with a version of wordpress newer than 3.0. So, they suggested I delete the 3.1 version I have on my FTP and load 3.0. I am in the process of doing this and wanted to check with you to see if you agree and think I am on the right path to solving this problem.
If the inFocus theme is not compatible with 3.1 or newer versions of Wordpress, do you plan to update it so users can continue to upgrade to the newer versions of Wordpress and still use the inFocus them?

Thank you for your help. I look forward to your response.

    Hello Tim,

I am pretty sure that this theme is compatible with Wordpress 3.1. What server message did you receive when you tried to activate the theme?

Please take a look at this: http://themes.mysitemyway.com/infocus/documentaion/faqs/bugs-errors/#11

Maybe that's the solution to your problem.

    Ruderic,
Since my last post, I deleted all of my Wordpress files in my FTP site, reinstalled Wordpress 3.1.3 through GoDaddy and uploaded the inFocus theme through Wordpress. Then I replaced the tinymce.php file as you suggested through my FTP site.

This enabled me to temporarily access my Dashboard and click on the inFocus link in my Dashboard. I then when to my domain to see my site color change, as I had saved it in the inFocus on my Dashboard - when my domain loaded it was still the stock theme from Wordpress. (I had not activated the inFocus theme at this point). So, I went to my Dashboard and activated inFocus. I immediately had the same server error as before. I shut down all my internet browsers and open applications. Then I opened one Firefox browser and went to Google. I then deleted all my cache and cookies and closed the browser. Restarted my computer, went to Google, cleared my cache and cookies again, just to be sure. I then went to my domain and could see the inFocus theme is loaded. I tried to log into my wp-admin and received the Server error. Now I cannot log into my wp-admin.

Sorry for the long post, but I thought it might be helpful to show you exactly what I had done. What do you suggest I do next? Is there another file I need to replace? I appreciate your help.

    Thank you,
    Tim

    Hello TimGardner2,

Are you using GoDaddy's one click install? If so then it would be best to install Wordpress manually as other users have had problems with their install before.

Depending on your setup you may also need to use the file that Ruderic linked to as well. Go ahead and get in contact with GoDaddy and let them know about the issues you are having. Also ask to see your error logs so we can grab some more information.
