internet explorer adds a blank piece to the site

   Hello udroma,

   Not sure what could be going on there. It seems it only happens in IE9.

   Make sure your using the latest versions of Wordpress and Dejavu (1.6) and deactivate all of your plugins.

   im using dejavu 1.5. still the same when i deactivate all plugins.
   changing to dejavu 1.6 solved it but all my personalization gone so i can't really just change without putting a lot of work into it.
   is there a way to keep all dejavu options as they are when updating a theme?

   You mean all of the text inside your custom homepage text editor is gone? This was an issue with Wordpress 3.3 but since it was working on Firefox and Chrome for you I didn't think that was the case.

   All of your settings will keep between updates except when updating to Wordpress 3.3 (the homepage content editor will need to be reconfigured).

   well... i downloaded and switched to the new theme... all my settings were gone. maybe i didnt do it the right way?
   im using 3.3
   its not only the text editor,,, also my icon... my slider... all of the dejavu menu
   ps. when switching back to 1.5 half of my footer widgets were gone as well... to the default view of your theme. i had to do them again!

   Did you rename the theme folder? Doing so will cause issues so it's best to leave it alone.

   yes i renamed it. so now i changed to the new 1.6 without renaming. problem remains.
   i dont know if it has anything to do with it, but the only change i did to the theme was replacing the header.php title for a plugin i use:
   Yoast WordPress SEO
   i replaced the title to:
   <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title>

   anyway i dont know if it has anything to do with it, but thats the only thing i could think of

   All of your theme settings are saved under whatever you renamed your theme folder to. You need to revert to a backup and export your theme settings in Dashboard -> your theme -> Advanced, update, and then import them in the same area.

   To all customers, please do not rename the theme folders, it's only going to cause issues.

    1. Revert to a previous backup.
    2. Copy the theme settings in Dashboard -> your theme -> Advanced.
    3. Update the theme to the latest version without renaming your theme folders.
    4. Import the theme settings in Dashboard -> your theme -> Advanced.

    ok so i restored to a backup. then deleted my old theme. then uploaded a new dejavu without renaming it.
    still the same. ie shows an extra piece

    now also on firefox things are not the same, i attached 2 photos to explain whats going on
