Infocus - Portfolio images not displaying

Did a new installation yesterday with the latest version of WP 3.4.2 and latest version of InFocus. First of all, the settings would not update for the theme - clicking on 'Save All Changes' just hung and not settings were saved other than being able to select a new skin. After much searching of the forum and testing different things, this was resolved by setting the values in the database for the following fields to null:

    mysite_infocus_*

The theme could then be set up and saved.

Today's problem is that the thumbnail is not displaying in the portfolio, but the lightbox image is loading. I can also see in the image directory that images are being resized. Using Firebug, switching off visibility:hidden; for <span class="noscript"> resolves the issue.

    Hello DakotaXT,

Create a backup and completely delete all copies of the theme before downloading / uploading a fresh copy. You don't need to edit the database at all and that could be why your seeing weird stuff going on.

Also be sure to deactivate all plugins while testing.

    Hi

I deleted the 3 November install, downloaded the theme again this morning from Themeforest, installed the latest theme via ftp.

There are no plugins other than Askimet which is deactivated anyway. There are no errors showing on the server.

I've added another Portfolio item and the same thing is happening. I checked the uploads folder and the images are being resized.

I noticed that there wasn't a cache folder, so I have created one, but still no joy.

After spending most of yesterday and today trying to figure it out, we are going to trash the whole site and start again.

We've done more than 50 WP installations over the past few years and 99% of them run smoothly, but we are really stumped with this one, especially as this was an upgrade on an existing site with the latest version of WP and the latest version of the theme.
