Images not loading - neither for HP slider nor galleries

    Hi there,

Can I possibly get assistance with a site I'm currently building for a friend's business. The link has to remain private at this stage, however I'm willing to provide admin access to a support person here via PM - if I'm allowed to get help this way.

I'm having image problems all round really. I've tried changing a couple of the default images for the homepage slider. I've used the same pixel dimensions, format, and replaced the files (same file name), but it just shows up as a white image on the slider. The direct link to the image works (of course).

Also, I can't seem to work out how to get a couple of images working as a gallery. I've tried pulling in the posts etc., but I don't seem to get a result, just a never-ending spinning loading thing.

Anyway, if I can have a support person log in and see what's going on I'd be really grateful.

Spotted something else. I'll be showing my friend the website on a Mac, so there's no issue there, but I notice that IE9 doesn't display the homepage quite right. The button's text is missing, as is some other text that should be there. No rounded edges either (I thought this would be something that IE7 and IE8 would suffer from, but not IE9). Btw, the homepage appears right in IE8.

    Hello jamesmcd,

It sounds like something wrong with the resize script. Here is a great troubleshooting guide on getting it to work,, pay attention to step 3 as that seems to be the issue for most people.

As for your problems in IE you will need to update cufon, here are some instructions,

If your still having problems with timThumb after following that guide then PM us a Wordpress login and we'll take a closer look.

Your images are giving me a 400 Bad Request. It would be best to get in contact with your hosting provider and check if PHP is updated and the GD Library is installed.

Here is a good troubleshooting guide for the resize script,

I'm not sure if a 400 Bad Request would create errors but go ahead and ask your hosting provider for the error logs so we can grab some more information.

Checked with host - PHP all up to date + GD Library is installed by default.

Ok - never mind, it's all working now :D Finally!

I addition to the Cufon and PrettyPhoto updates, are there any others? Also... why don't you guys just update the theme so people don't have to manually update components?

Those are the only 2 scripts that you have to update.

The developers are currently working on a new framework, and will update the existing themes soon.
