    Hi Elliott,

I've added custom fields to post like company logo, company URL, speaker Thumb... I've used the blog_list shortcode to display my posts that are actually a list of speakers, I need to display the position, company name and company logo in each post too, where do I do that?

As you can see on the screenshot attached, I have the picture, name and description for each speaker but missing the custom fields...

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello foucaudmarie,

Is that screenshot your blog shortcode? Go ahead and send us a link to the page so we can get a better idea of what's going on.

Hi Elliott, here is the link of the page where I would like to add the custom fields under the speaker's name (post title): http://www.ssc.scmworld.com/?p=34

    Thanks

It would be easier if you setup a custom excerpt for each post. When editing your post click on the "Screen Options" link in the top right hand corner of your screen and make sure the excerpt is checked.

Next scroll down to the bottom of the page and you can insert a custom excerpt. For example you could use this,

<p>Here is some text about the speaker</p>
<p>And here is a custom excerpt about the post</p>

    Hi Elliott,

I think you misunderstood me... right, at the moment we have the post title ( which is the speaker name on the page) then we have a break, then the speaker's profile. I'm not talking about the excerpt, but about custom fields...

In my custom fields section I've added job title, speaker location, speaker organisation, speaker organisation logo, speaker organisation URL... (see screenshot). So i would like to find a way to display those fields somehow in each post under the speaker's name, see 2nd screenshot of how i would like it to appear on the page, in red are the custom fields...

Let me know if you understand what I mean?

    Thanks

You don't need custom fields for this, that's overkill.

You can insert that information into the excerpt as explained in my previous post and it will display in the same area.
