    Hello mikru2010,

    When you edit the post / page then scroll to the very bottom and you should see some options to disable the comments (see attached image).

    Let us know if this helps.

    I'm editing a page and I do not see the Discussion box as you posted above. The Discussion box appears on my edit posts, along with many more box options (awake portfolio, excerpt, trackbacks, etc).

    The only two boxes underneath the page text filed is Awake General Page Options and All in One SEO Pack.

    Hello BenjaminYBR,

    By default your pages should not be displaying comments.

    You can also try opening up /wp-content/themes/awake/page.php and around lines 39 - 41 delete these lines,

    <div id="comments">
    	<?php comments_template('', true); ?>
    </div>

    But if possible then go ahead and send us a link to your page so we can take a closer look at what is going on.

    I commented out that line and it works. I found the same line within template-full.php to eliminate those comment boxes.

    I'm working on ybrdesign.com.

  6. I don't understand why, but in WordPress 3.1 the Discussion box is not shown by default. You need to click the Screen Options located on the upper right side of the screen, and then choose Discussion. No need to go to the code.
    I also believe that comments should be off by default, but if you change the code, your changes will be overwritten the next time you upgrade Awake.

    Elliot,

    May I butt in here for a second. I am developing a website locally and I have noticed that the pages are showing comment boxes. When you scroll to the bottom of the page post, the boxes to disable comments are not there. Possibly a bug?

    Just thought I'd mention this.

    Hello MikiV6,

    Are you on Wordpress 3.1? In this case as Yakir said you have to enable it to display by clicking on "Screen Options" in the top right corner of your page / post. If this does not work for you then go ahead and try what I suggested here,

    Hello guys,

    I've tried all of the above and I'm not seeing it.

    I am using the Blog feature from the awake settings to display posts from certain categories.
    Whether the post has comments or not, I still get the comment bubble and either 0 comments or comments off notice.

    Edit: nevermind I figured it out myself by simply adding display:none; to the comment bubble section in the stylesheet :)
