How to Center Logo and Nav

    I need to center the logo and nav menue. I found this doc which is great, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Customizing_the_Header

    But could you tell me what the CSS would be to tell the logo and nav to center?

    Or am I better off to enter the absolute position as in the examples and try to just figure out what the center is that way?

    Thanks!

    Hello newleaf,

    Yes, you'll need to use absolute positioning and then play around with the top and left values to move them around as seen in the link.

  3. Elliott, I have the same requirement - but have a concern.

    I could play with the left value to get it positioned correctly, but how will that affect responsiveness?

    When viewing on a mobile, I'd still like the logo to be centered, rather than flung off out of view. Same goes for the menu.

    did this ever get resolved? I have the same issue regarding centering. Works for desktop but not responsive.

    Centering is painful. If your site is live and you post a link I'll take a quick look.

    Note: MSMW support has not responded to this forum in about 10 months. I'm just another client lending a helping hand :-)

    Hi Tim:
    Thanks for responding. I had been wondering about this for quite some time since there have not been updates in over a year.

    Here is the website: http://leahmantini.com

    No big deal if it cannot be centered. I am planning to use Divi in the future for this client.

    Still a shame that these yahoos just bailed on all of us. I do have a couple of clients using their themes. Fortunately I have not had any issue, but will be looking to do something for them in the future.

    Appreciate your assistance.

    Hi Janice,

    The following css added in your mysitemyway custom css section should fix things reasonably well:

    #header{
    height: 125vh;
    max-height: 125px;
    text-align:center;
    }
    .logo{
    left:unset;
    }
    .site_logo img{
    max-width:100%;
    }
    .slider_module_inner{
    max-width:100%;
    }

    FYI - I will be managing a fork of the MSMW theme suite as an open source project in a few weeks. I like the theme suite and have decided to continue to support my clients without a theme switch at least for the next 12 months (longer if a significant community forms around the forked theme). It will be available to all at no charge. I'll post a notice on the forum when it is available.

    Cheers,
    Tim
