How can I insert a prettyPhoto link in a portfolio in InFocus v1.6?

  1. I am using inFocus v1.6, and generating portfolios using the [portfolio] shortcode. This works great, but what happens when someone clicks on one of the thumbnails in the portfolio is that the full-sized image is displayed in a separate window. What I want to have happen is for the fullsized image to be displayed in a prettyPhoto pop-up when a user clicks on the thumbnail. Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it?

    I have been able to insert separate images and get them to pop up quite nicely, but I would like to be able to have all the right links generated automatically by the portfolio shortcode.

    Hello blockwork,

    By default the portfolio images should be opening up in prettyPhoto. Have you done any customizations? Go ahead and send us a link to your site and deactivate all of your plugins so we can take a closer look.

  3. There are no customizations as far as I know. Aside from Akismet, the only other plugins installed are Faster Media Insert and Shiba Media Library. Only Faster Media Insert was activated. I deactivated that, and I'm still not getting a prettyPhoto display.

    The developer who worked on this before they brought me in told me that she had tried to update to v2.3, but when she couldn't get that to work right, she reverted back to v1.3. It was at that point that the prettyPhoto stuff stopped working. You upgraded me to v1.6, and that's what I'm trying to get to work now.

    If you go to http://artsearch-corporate.com/wordpress/?page_id=48, you can select any of the artists listed there to get their portfolios.

    Thanks, Dan

  4. Here's a little more information.

    On the Angelis Jackowski page - http://artsearch-corporate.com/wordpress/?page_id=947 - I first tried inserting this code:

    [code]
    <img src="http://artsearch-corporate.com/wordpress/images/jackowski/Watercolor%20file/MagnoliaI_AngelisJackowski_Watercolor.jpg" width="60" height="60" />
    [/code]

    It didn't display the photo as a "prettyPhoto" as it had before when I clicked on the thumbnail. When I deleted the [portfolio] shortcode, though, it then displayed the photo correctly in the popup.

    Try updating prettyPhoto by downloading it from here, http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/, (the production version), and extract to your desktop.

    If the folder is not named "prettyPhoto" with a capital P in the middle then rename it and upload into /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/lib/scripts/ to overwrite the old version.
