Homepage Area vs Widget Areas

   Hi there, I want to have 4 columns on my homepage like in the demo however I wanted to use Widgets and its seems I am unable to do that. Is there any way of either using widgets in the HTML Content Area Editor or splitting the Homepage widget area into 4 columns (or 4 individual widget areas)? Anyone know a solution to this or have done something similar? Any help appreciated :)
