help! issues with infocus...

   I just recently installed infocus on my wp blog. I have been wrestling with the slider and have decided that I would like to get rid of it. I can't figure out how to disable the slider completely.

   I'm also having trouble figuring out how to get about author box and social bookmarking elements to show up anywhere. I only see the settings to disable these elements. I don't see that they are enabled anywhere on my blog.

   I went to gravatar and have created a profile there. Is there a plugin I should install for these elements? Is there a guide or something to reference for simple questions such as these?

   Hello bioshift,

   Is the slider not working correctly? We can help you take it off but let us know what is going on with it and we might be able to help you get it working.

   As for the admin and social bookmarks if you create a post then by default they should be visible when you view the post.

   Let us know if this helps bioshift.

   so, I really haven't played with the slider enough to say it's not working properly. Is it only supposed to go on your posts and not on pages. I couldn't figure that out.

   But yea we may use it when our blog gets more posts but for now it seems a bit empty. and we want to pull it off for the time being.

   as for the author box and social, they aren't showing up. Maybe it has something to do with my current plugins but I am not seeing it within any posts... Is there something I need to do with gravatar to make it work? I signed up for an acc. there.

   The slider is only designed to show on the homepage. To get it to show on other pages then you would need to create a separate template for that. If this is what you want then we should be able to get a template coded for you in our free time.

   I think it would be good to put up at least one custom image saying welcome or something similar but if you want to disable the slider then try this..

   Open up /wp-content/themes/infocus/style.css and add this line..

   #home_feature { display: none; }

   When you want to display the slider again then delete this line. For the author and social media plugins make sure that you are not disabling them in the settings. They should only show up on posts so if they do not then go ahead and PM us login / FTP information and we will take a closer look.

   Thanks you guys are awesome! I just realized that you guyz are behind icons etc. ! I found that a few weeks ago and really appreciate it!

   I will keep playing with it and let you know in this thread, in the next day or so if I can't figure it out!
