    Hi Elliot,

I'm needing to make DeJavu look very similar to an exiting site. (swanstonrural.com.au/wordpress/) Basically, I'm customising yours to look like their old design, and there's quite a list of things I'm having trouble finding here, that I'm hoping you will know off the top of your head. Sorry to put them all together, and if you prefer me to post each item separately just let me know. maybe I need to make a child theme rather than use the custom css filed.. Please let me know what you think.

The header space, behind the logo:
I need to change the background to 40% black and increase the space-depth.
The logo needs to be set in the middle of the vertical space, not behind the menu.

    The menu:
Needs to be 30% transparent black.

    Home widgets:
I need to reduce the space around them so I can easily fit six.
The background needs to be semi transparent also.

    The footer:
I need to make that also 30% transparent black.
A custom logo needs to be added there too.

    Browser background:
    Needs to have an image

    Post / page backgrounds:
Need to be 30% white transparent too

    Sorry for the big list!

If you can shed any light on any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks so much

    Matt

    Hello matt.glastonbury,

You can do all of your style changes in our stylesheets,

    /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/style.css
    /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/shortcodes.css

The stylesheets are documented so you just need to open them up and read the comments to find where everything is located.

    Thanks Elliot!

I shouldn't make a child theme, due to future updates?

See here for creating a child theme, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Using_Child_Themes. You can place extra CSS in the child theme stylesheet as well.
