Full Cropped home page slider not working

  1. When this issue has happened in the past you have recommend people to turn of installed plugins that may be conflicting with it. I have done this with no avail. This is the second time I have had this issue with the main slider. At times the slider has worked in the past off and on, then it seems not to work at all. The last time it happened I completely reinstalled it on another host as you recommended. Once this was done the site slider worked perfectly.

Now I have spent a lot more time with the site adding many pages, uploading a whole new library of images etc. I don't see reinstalling it to be a very good option every time this happens. I will end up spending countless hours again trying to get the site back to where it was.

What should I do? I think it may have to do with my recent upgrade to Wordpress 3.1 but I cannot remember if this happened before or after.

I also know Wordpress has some new header box when logged into Wordpress that appears above my website. I have tried to log out and access my website just in case something in that new bar might have been conflicting.

    Please advise

http://www.asisouthernunion.org/asi is my url of the second installation. http://www.adventconnect/org/ASI is the first one that had the issue as well.

    Hello charles2359,

You need to use images on your own server. Go ahead and upload your image to the asisoutherunion.org server and link it to see if this solves your problem.

  3. One of the images was on another hosting server and once I changed it things seemed to be working again. Why would one affect the whole slider? Not sure but thank you for your assistance.

Would you by any chance know where I can get instructions on how to create the same affect design as the four grey footers on the home page? The four grey footers have symbols of word press, browsers, jquery, and another one. They have this embeveled look possibly using the bump map but for some reason I am unable to get the same affect. Any suggestions?

Again thanks for you help with the front page slider.

    Hello charles2359,

You can find those images in /wp-content/themes/infocus/images/. You can check in the PSD's folder to see if they are included. If not then I'll flag this topic for Webtreats to see if we can get you a copy or not.
