    Hello!
Thanks so much the theme is inedible, excellent instructions and great support!

I had everything working just fine...then....suddenly...

The slider on the front page just showed up with the spinning ring (it was working great before)
The drop downs on some navigation headings don't appear! (they were there before!)

    It was working fine!
I uninstalled and reinstalled the theme (but nothing changed, I have not messed with CSS files)
I have checked the 'reading' settings for wordpress
I turned off all my plug ins (thought it might have something to do with lightbox/next gen gallery.
    Added different images to slider

I think it happened after I tried to install a portfolio page. (I get the spinning ring on the portfolio page too).

    Please help me!!!!

    Hello pippa,

Very sorry for such a late reply, sometimes threads can slip past us.

Usually when customers get the spinning ring it is because of the resize script but in this case you said your drop downs are not working either so I think it could be a javascript issue.

Is there any way we can get a link to your site?

In your case scottmcnew you are using images that are hosted on an external server.

    http://www.webtvworkshop.com/wp-content/themes/awake/lib/scripts/thumb.php?src=http://www.webseriesworkshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/WebTVWorkshop-In-New-York-C.jpg&w=900&h=350&zc=1&q=100

The timThumb resize script does not allow this so make sure all of your images are hosted on your domain name like so,

Let us know if that fixes it for you.
